Emergency School Reconstruction Project– Batch 9
The Emergency School Reconstruction Project rebuilt schools in several batches. Starting in May 2016, the first set of 83 schools that would be rebuilt had a 15-month construction window. In November 2019, the facilities started to be rebuilt as part of the Emergency School Reconstruction Project financed by JICA (ESRP). The project's client is the NRA's Central Level Project Implementation Unit-Education. Based on the idea of Build Back Better (BBB), which increases resilience not only physically but also socially, the projects were rebuilt with multi-hazard resilient structures that are environmental, child, gender, and disability friendly in order to provide a better learning environment for students. Client and JICA provided guidance throughout this process.
5 school buildings were built by us in the Makwanpur area of the ESRP.
Each of them has been finished and handed.
The project will be finished in October 2022 and will have cost a total of Rs. 23 crore. Sharma & Company Pvt Ltd and AM Construction Company Pvt. Ltd. are the main JV partners. With Gorakha Builders Pvt Ltd, the construction is currently authorized.
